Sean is Chief Investment Officer for private markets, leading the private markets impact investing effort and managing the portfolio of the Snowball Fund. He joined Tribe as part of the acquisition of Snowball Impact Management in 2025, having been part of the leadership team at Snowball since 2022.
Prior to Snowball, Sean was a founder of Nephin Capital, an investment and advisory firm, and before Nephin Capital he was Global Head of Private Markets for Partners Capital, a leading OCIO (Outsourced Chief Investment Office) firm. Sean started his investing career at Goldman Sachs.
He has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a degree in Computer Engineering from Trinity College Dublin where he was a Scholar of the College and a keen rower.
Outside of work, he enjoys supporting the sporting and extracurricular endeavours of his 4 sons, reading and consuming podcasts on a range of subjects, energetic conversation with friends, travel, exercise, and craft beer.
Three jobs at once during a summer in Boston – selling T-shirts from a street cart on Boston Common, moving furniture, and supporting advanced IT systems to visualise 3-D proton beam treatment plans in the Radiation Oncology department of Mass. General Hospital.
