Alexander sits on Tribe’s Board, bringing deep experience in purpose-led banking, governance and long-term stewardship of capital.
Alexander was the first of the eleventh generation of the Hoare family to join the partnership at C. Hoare & Co, where he served as Chief Executive Officer from 2001 to 2009. He joined the bank in 1987 from PA Consulting Group, where he worked as a marketing consultant, and is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh (BCom (Hons) Marketing).
A recognised leader in social and impact investing, Alexander is a founder partner of Snowball Impact Management (now part of Tribe) and has played a significant role in advancing responsible finance across the sector.
Outside of his professional roles, Alexander is Patron of Royal Trinity Hospice, Chair of the Trustees of Intermission Youth Theatre, and formerly served as President of the Groupement Européen de Banques. He is married with family and in his spare time enjoys tennis and sailing.
